Anisodiadrom: Meaning "unequal through path" in reference to the path that is taken by a vibratory body like a pendulum.

I want to make new works based on pitches and rhythms, but not without attention to texture and timbre. I'm drawn to asymmetric music with overt emotional expressivity, that is exciting, and that surprises. This is an attempt to build all of the above extemporaneously, alone in the basement, thinking about the world.

I avoid electronic effects, in favor of a simpler, more direct connection to the instrument, using traditional and extended techniques. I try to be stylistically unusual and conceptually formalistic, orbiting the middle ground between chaos and stasis. For me this is the point of maximum interest.
My influences include Leo Brouwer, Cecil Taylor, Andre Jolivet, Buddy Guy.
